The first step in your scalp care routine: shampoo
A functional anti-hair loss shampoo is the foundation of scalp care, just like a cleanser is for skincare. Thoroughly removing sebum, dead skin cells, and fine dust from your scalp allows the treatments and hair products you use afterward to absorb more effectively. On days when you've used a lot of styling products, rinse thoroughly before shampooing for an even cleaner feel.
Evening cleansing is recommended over morning
It's most effective to use it in the evening to wash away the sebum and environmental pollutants that have built up on your scalp throughout the day. If you need to wash your hair in the morning, a light second cleanse in the evening will help support scalp health. The mildly acidic formula (pH 5.5) is gentle enough for daily use, even on sensitive scalps.
Lather well and massage into the scalp
Wet your scalp and hair thoroughly with lukewarm water, then dispense an appropriate amount into your hands and work into a rich lather. Apply the foam to your scalp and massage in circular motions with your fingertips for 1 to 2 minutes. Work thoroughly from the crown to the hairline and down to the nape of the neck, then rinse clean with lukewarm water. The key is to rinse thoroughly so no residue is left behind.
Recommended combinations for specific scalp concerns
- If you're concerned about dandruff and flaking: Follow up with a scalp care toner after shampooing
- If your hair is fine and lacks volume: Supplement with protein using the Ultrabond Treatment from the same line
- If your scalp is sensitive and itchy: Use lukewarm water instead of hot, and finish blow-drying with cool air to minimize irritation
Storage and usage precautions
The formula may thicken in winter or cold temperatures—simply leave it at room temperature and shake before use. If it gets into your eyes, rinse immediately. If you have wounds on your scalp or experience redness, spots, itching, or other unusual symptoms, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
