Use after toner, in place of your serum step
In your evening skincare routine, apply this oil after toner, in the serum step. With 0.5% pure retinol, it's concentrated enough to use on its own instead of your usual essence or ampoule. Follow with your moisturizer to lock everything in.
Evening use only. SPF is non-negotiable the next day
Retinol is sensitive to light and heat, so nighttime application is recommended. Because retinol remains active in your skin overnight, you must apply sunscreen the following morning even if you're not reapplying the product. SPF is essential throughout your entire retinol journey.
Pat gently with your fingertips to help absorption
Dispense 1–2 drops onto your palm using the dropper, then gently pat from the center of your face outward. For areas prone to fine lines, targeted application works best.
- Forehead: smooth against the direction of lines, then apply in a zigzag motion
- Smile lines: sweep upward and outward
- Neck: glide upward from the base of your neck
Layer with a hydrating serum to minimize irritation
If your skin tends to react to retinol, apply a hyaluronic acid serum first to create a hydrating base. For body care, mix 1–2 drops into your body moisturizer to boost hydration and firmness on dry skin.
Adjustment period and precautions
If you're new to retinol, do a patch test first and start with 2–3 times per week. During the first two weeks, you may experience tingling, redness, or flaking as your skin adjusts to retinol. If irritation persists, reduce frequency or discontinue use. Avoid combining with scrubs, chemical exfoliants, or professional treatments. If refrigerated, the oil may appear slightly cloudy or separated, but this does not affect product quality.
