Start your sebum and exfoliation routine at the toner step
This is designed to be used right after cleansing, at the toner stage. It sweeps away any remaining impurities while targeting both excess sebum and dead skin buildup. It also preps your skin to better absorb the serums and moisturizers that follow, so think of it as laying a solid foundation for the rest of your skincare routine.
Use morning and night
In the morning, it helps reset the sebum produced overnight. In the evening, it clears away the oil and dead skin that's accumulated throughout the day. Formulated specifically for acne-prone skin, it's gentle enough for daily use. That said, if your skin feels dry, you can scale back to evening-only application.
Apply with a cotton pad or your hands
After cleansing, pat your face dry and dispense an appropriate amount. You can saturate a cotton pad and gently sweep it across your face, starting from the oily T-zone and working outward. Or, pour it into your palms and lightly pat it into your skin until absorbed. Pay a little extra attention to areas prone to buildup, like around the nose and along the jawline.
Tailored routines by skin concern
- If excess sebum is your main issue, follow this toner with just a lightweight hydrating serum to balance oil and moisture
- If enlarged pores are a concern, layer it with a serum from the same line for targeted care
- If you have acne-prone skin that also feels dry, finish with a soothing moisturizer after the toner to lock in hydration while keeping sebum in check
Important notes on BHA use
This toner contains salicylic acid (BHA), which helps with exfoliation and pore care. However, skip it on days when your skin feels particularly sensitive. Avoid using it on the same day as retinol or other exfoliating products, as this may cause irritation—alternate between them instead. If you experience stinging or redness, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
