An enzyme powder cleanser used during the cleansing step
Use this as the first step in your skincare routine. You can swap it in for your regular foam cleanser, or on makeup days, use it as your second cleanse after removing makeup with a cleansing oil to thoroughly clear out pores and impurities.
Recommended 2–3 times per week for evening cleansing
Because the enzymes work to break down dead skin cells and sebum, it's best used 2–3 times a week in the evening rather than daily. If your skin feels balanced and oil production is high, you can increase frequency slightly, but on dry or sensitive days, switch back to your regular cleanser.
Mix with water to build a rich lather, then massage
Dispense a small amount into your palm, add a bit of water, and rub your hands together to create a foam. Once the powder fully dissolves into a soft lather, massage it over your entire face in circular motions. Spend a little extra time on oil-prone areas like the nose and chin, then gently touch the eye area and cheeks before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Follow-up steps by skin concern
- If excess oil is your main concern, follow with a lightweight toner and use a BHA product 1–2 times per week to support pore care
- If you're worried about tightness after cleansing, layer on a hyaluronic acid toner or essence right away to lock in hydration
- If your skin is easily irritated, follow with a soothing toner and finish with a light lotion
Precautions when using enzyme cleansers
This formula contains protein-digesting enzymes like papain and bromelain, which can thin or sensitize the skin if overused. Avoid using it on the same day as other exfoliating products like AHA, BHA, or scrubs. If you experience stinging or redness during use, rinse immediately and discontinue.
