Eye firming care, in the final step of your skincare routine
Eye cream is applied after toner, essence, and serum have prepped and smoothed the skin. The eye area is the thinnest and most delicate part of your face, so layering eye cream after hydration and nourishment helps maximize absorption. We recommend applying it before your moisturizer.
Safe for morning and evening use, but always follow with SPF in the AM
Even though this formula contains retinol, it can be used both morning and night. If you apply it in the morning, always follow with sunscreen. Retinol can increase sensitivity to UV exposure.
Use 1 to 2 rice grains' worth, and gently press to absorb
A rice grain or two is all you need. Dot the cream under the eyes and around the outer corners, then gently tap it in with your fingertips using a light pressing motion. Avoid rubbing or tugging at the eye area, as this can deepen fine lines. The key is a soft, massage-like touch.
Routine pairing tips by skin concern
- If your eye area feels very dry, layer a deeply hydrating essence underneath before applying the eye cream
- For loss of firmness, pair with a collagen or peptide serum to amplify results
- Formulated with 6-year-aged red ginseng, this cream is especially well-suited for skin in need of anti-aging support
What to know about the retinol in this formula
At 100 PPM, this is a beginner-friendly retinol concentration. If you're new to retinol, start by using it 2 to 3 times a week to allow your skin to adjust. Once your skin has adapted, daily use is fine. Avoid layering with vitamin C products at the same time. Instead, use vitamin C in the morning and this eye cream in the evening. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend patch-testing behind the ear or on the inner arm before full application.
