First step after cleansing: balance with toner
This is the very first step after cleansing. It helps restore your skin's pH to a slightly acidic level after washing, which can temporarily make it more alkaline, and preps your skin to better absorb the essence or ampoule that follows. Especially helpful when your skin's moisture-oil balance feels off.
Use morning and night
In the morning, it clears away overnight sebum and smooths your skin texture before makeup. In the evening, it calms freshly cleansed skin and boosts absorption of the products you layer on next.
Dispense onto palm or cotton pad
Soak a cotton pad with an appropriate amount and gently sweep from the center of your face outward. Or pour into your palms and pat lightly into skin until absorbed. Extending application down to your neck and décolletage helps even out tone across a wider area.
Recommended routine pairings by skin concern
- For dullness: Follow with a vitamin C serum to amplify brightening results
- For dryness: Layer the toner 2–3 times, then seal with a rich moisturizer
- For combination skin: Apply lightly on the T-zone, and press more generously into cheeks and jawline
Storage and usage notes
Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and use within 12 months of opening. If you experience redness, swelling, itching, or other unusual reactions during use, discontinue immediately and consult a dermatologist. Avoid applying to broken or wounded skin.
