Cleansing oil is the very first step in your skincare routine. It's your first cleanse, designed to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. Follow up with a foam cleanser as your second cleanse to thoroughly clear out pores. That said, this is a water-soluble oil that emulsifies beautifully with water, so on light makeup days, you can use it on its own for a fresh, clean finish.

Focus on evening cleansing

We recommend using this as your evening cleanser to melt away the day's buildup of makeup, sebum, and blackheads. In the morning, your skin produces less oil overnight, so a foam cleanser alone is usually enough. Save the cleansing oil for nighttime, when it works best.

Pump 3–4 times onto dry hands, massage, then emulsify

Always shake the bottle before use to mix the formula. Because we use a natural emulsifier, some separation may occur. Pump 3–4 times into dry hands, then gently massage over your entire face to dissolve makeup. Add a little lukewarm water gradually to emulsify—the oil will turn milky white. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Pair with the right next step for your skin concern

• For pores and blackheads: After cleansing, use a pore-refining toner 2–3 times a week to help manage buildup
• For dryness: Follow immediately with a deeply hydrating toner and a rose oil product to lock in moisture
• For sensitive skin: Skip the second cleanse and finish with a calming essence
