Apply after base makeup, during the contouring step
Once you've finished your base with foundation and concealer, apply shading before or after setting powder. Contouring first—before blush or highlighter—makes it much easier to place your color products afterward.
Shading technique using the rounded diagonal shape
Load the brush with shading powder, then tap once on the back of your hand to control the amount. Sweep lightly from the outer cheekbone inward to create shadow, then roll the brush from the side of your cheekbone down to below the jawline to soften a square jaw. Use any remaining product along the hairline for a naturally sculpted finish. The rounded diagonal design hugs the contours of your face, so there's no need to apply pressure.
Wash 1–2 times per week, dry flat
The natural gray squirrel hair should be washed 1–2 times per week with a dedicated brush cleanser or gentle shampoo. Dilute the cleanser in lukewarm water, swirl the bristles gently to clean, then lay the brush flat on a towel to air dry—never squeeze out the water. The clamping assembly creates a secure bond between the ferrule and handle, but drying upright can allow water to seep inside, so always dry horizontally.
Best used with powder formulas
The dense bristles pick up and distribute powder particles evenly, making this brush ideal for shading powder. It also works beautifully as a blush or highlighter brush for multi-use versatility. Cream formulas may clump in the bristles, so we recommend sticking to powder products.
Protect the bristles with the included brush cover
After each use, slip on the included brush cover to prevent the bristles from losing their shape. Store in a cool place away from heat and direct sunlight. Replace the brush when bristles start to splay or color payoff becomes uneven.
