Your first line of defense after swimming
For best results, use it right after you step out of the pool — ideally in the locker room shower. The longer chlorine sits on your hair, the more damage it can cause, so a quick cleanse immediately after swimming makes all the difference. You can still use it when you get home, but if possible, do your first wash at the pool.
Anytime you swim
Morning lap or evening session, just use it after you're done. If you swim daily, feel free to use it every time — the silicone-free formula won't weigh down your scalp. On rest days, you can alternate with your regular shampoo or adjust based on how your scalp feels.
Work up a rich lather and massage thoroughly
Dispense a generous amount into your palm, add water, and work it into a full lather. Once you've built up a creamy foam, massage it from scalp to ends. Pay extra attention to the hairline where your swim cap sat — gently massaging with your fingertips helps lift away buildup and dead skin cells. Leave the lather on for 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Recommended routine based on swim frequency
- 3+ times a week: Use this shampoo after every swim, and follow with a treatment from the same line to help repair damage
- 1–2 times a week: Reserve this shampoo for swim days only, and stick to your regular shampoo the rest of the time
- Color-treated or permed hair: Pool water can be especially harsh, so be sure to follow up with a treatment or hair oil to lock in moisture
Important usage notes
If product gets into eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. If you notice redness, itching, or any irritation on your scalp after use, discontinue and consult a dermatologist. Incomplete rinsing can lead to scalp issues, so make sure to rinse thoroughly. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and keep out of reach of children.
