For finishing eyeshadow and blending edges
Use this brush after applying eyeshadow to seamlessly blend the edges between shades. Start by sweeping a base color across the lid, then layer your accent shade. Gently buff along the transition line with the smudge brush to create a soft gradient. It's also ideal for smudging out your lower lash line.
Blend in small, gentle circles
Pick up a small amount of shadow on the brush tip, or use it clean to soften harsh lines. Work in small circular motions along the edge, using a light hand so only the tips of the bristles make contact. This prevents patchiness and ensures a natural diffusion of color. You can also sweep it back and forth along the crease to add dimension and depth.
Wash weekly to maintain color payoff
Eye brushes pick up pigment quickly, so we recommend washing them at least once a week. Swirl the bristles gently in lukewarm water mixed with a brush cleanser or mild shampoo, then lay flat on a towel to air dry. Avoid drying upright, as water can seep into the handle.
Best used with powder eyeshadow
This smudge brush is designed for powder formulas. Using it with cream or liquid shadows may cause product buildup in the bristles, so we recommend sticking to powder textures for best results.
Keep the bristles in shape for longer wear
After each use, gently tap the brush on a tissue or brush cleaning sponge to remove excess powder. When storing in a pouch, use a brush cap or mesh guard to protect the bristles from getting crushed. If the tips start to fray or blending becomes uneven, it's time for a replacement.
