For contouring below the cheekbones
Use this brush during the contouring step, after you've completed your base makeup, to add dimension to your face. Once you've evened out your skin tone with foundation and concealer, apply shading before or after setting powder for a naturally sculpted look.
Blend in a diagonal sweeping motion
Load the brush with shading powder, then tap it once on the back of your hand to control the amount. Place the brush at a 45-degree angle in the hollow below your cheekbone, and sweep diagonally from your ear toward the corner of your mouth. The key to natural-looking contour is to blend repeatedly with the residual powder on the brush until no harsh lines are visible.
Wash weekly to maintain color payoff
Clean your shading brush once a week with a dedicated brush cleanser or gentle shampoo. Swirl the bristles gently in lukewarm water mixed with cleanser, then lay the brush flat on a towel to air dry. Avoid drying it upright, as water can seep into the handle and cause the bristles to loosen.
Perfect for powder shading and bronzer
This brush works beautifully with powder shading and bronzer. You can also use it along the sides of your nose, hairline, and jawline, making it ideal for sculpting your entire face with one tool. For cream contour products, we recommend a sponge or synthetic bristle brush instead.
Storage tips to preserve brush shape
After each use, store the brush with its protective cover on to prevent the bristles from getting crushed. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to extend its lifespan. If the bristles start to splay or blending becomes difficult, it's time for a replacement.
