First step in your skincare routine: oil cleansing
Cleansing oil is your first cleanse, designed to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and the sebum that builds up throughout the day. Formulated with seven plant-derived oils and no added water, it gently adheres to skin while effectively lifting away impurities. Follow with a foam cleanser as your second cleanse for a thoroughly clean finish.
Use daily in your evening routine
Incorporate this into your evening routine to melt away the day's makeup, sunscreen, and sebum. With 200 ppm of LHA, a sebum-regulating ingredient, it's gentle enough for daily use while targeting both dead skin cells and excess oil.
Emulsification is key
Dispense 2 to 3 pumps onto dry hands and a dry face, then gently massage over makeup-heavy areas. Once everything is dissolved, add a small amount of water and massage in circular motions. When the clear oil turns milky white, emulsification is complete. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Tailored routines by skin concern
- If pores and sebum are your main concerns, extend the emulsification time slightly, then follow your second cleanse with an astringent toner.
- If dryness is a worry, apply a deeply hydrating toner and oil serum immediately after cleansing to balance moisture and oil levels.
- For combination skin, focus your massage on the T-zone and keep it light on the cheeks.
Important notes on LHA
LHA is gentler than AHA or BHA, but using it on the same day as other exfoliating products may overwhelm your skin. On days when you're using retinol or high-concentration acid treatments, stick to this cleanser alone for a lighter cleanse. If you experience redness or stinging, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
