Use as the first step in your skincare routine, as a first cleanser
Cleansing balms are first cleansers designed to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. With enough cleansing power to remove even waterproof mascara, it's ideal for days when you've worn heavier makeup. After your first cleanse with the balm, follow with a cleansing foam or gel as your second cleanse to thoroughly clear away any residue left in your pores.
Safe for daily use in your evening routine
Perfect for evening cleansing to dissolve the day's buildup of makeup, sunscreen, and fine dust. In the morning, a lightweight cleanser is usually enough to remove the sebum produced overnight. Even on no-makeup days, if you've worn sunscreen, use the cleansing balm in the evening.
Start with dry hands and a dry face
Using the spatula attached to the lid, scoop out an appropriate amount with dry hands and apply to a dry face. As it warms to your skin temperature, the sorbet-like texture transforms into an oil. Gently massage until makeup dissolves. Then, add a small amount of lukewarm water to emulsify—the balm will turn milky white. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Next steps by skin type
- Dry to combination-dry skin: Formulated with hydrating and soothing ingredients like panthenol and guaiazulene, it leaves minimal tightness after cleansing. Follow your second cleanse with a deeply hydrating toner to lock in moisture.
- Oily to combination skin: Non-comedogenic formula minimizes the risk of breakouts. Use a BHA toner 2-3 times a week to support pore care.
- Sensitive skin: Completed gentle skin testing and tends to cause minimal irritation around the eye area.
Storage and precautions
Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and use the attached spatula to maintain hygiene. If product enters the eyes, rinse immediately. If redness, itching, or other irritation occurs during use, discontinue and consult a dermatologist.
