Use as your first step after cleansing
This is a toner designed to be used immediately after cleansing. It quickly replenishes hydration into freshly cleansed pores and preps skin to better absorb the essences or serums that follow. Formulated with AHA, it gently sweeps away dead skin cells while helping to refine skin texture over time.
Best used in your evening routine
Because this toner contains AHA, a chemical exfoliant, we recommend using it after your evening cleanse. If you do use it in the morning, be diligent about applying sunscreen throughout the day, as AHA can increase sun sensitivity. If you're new to AHA, start with 2–3 times a week and observe how your skin responds before increasing frequency.
Apply with a cotton pad or fingertips
Dispense an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad and gently sweep across your face from the center outward. The watery texture also absorbs beautifully when patted in with your hands. On days when your skin feels dry or irritated, layer it twice for extra soothing.
Routine pairings by skin concern
- If dull texture is your concern, use this toner to refine surface buildup, then follow with a vitamin C serum to target uneven tone.
- On particularly dry days, seal in moisture with a hyaluronic acid serum or a rich hydrating cream to boost moisture retention.
- Pair it with the Hydrocica Serum from the same line for a routine that delivers both soothing and hydration in one go.
Precautions when using AHA
Due to the nature of AHA, avoid layering with retinol or other exfoliating treatments on the same day to prevent irritation. You may experience mild tingling or temporary redness when you first start using it—if it's not severe, this is part of your skin's adjustment period. Reduce frequency if needed. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and discontinue use and consult a dermatologist if irritation persists.
