After Base Makeup, During the Cheek Color Step
Use after completing your base with foundation and concealer. Applying blush over setting powder gives you a lightweight, fresh finish, while applying it directly over foundation creates a more hydrating, seamless color payoff. When using as a highlighter, tap onto areas where you want dimension—forehead, brow bone, tip of the nose.
Angle Control Using the Flat Surface
The key to natural color payoff is loading the brush with powder, then tapping it lightly on the back of your hand or a tissue to control the amount. Lay the brush flat and sweep gently across the apple of your cheeks. For narrow areas like the sides of your nose or under your eyes, stand the brush upright and use the edge for precise placement. A light tapping motion ensures even, clump-free application.
Gentle Cleansing Once or Twice a Week
Clean natural hair brushes once or twice a week with a dedicated brush cleanser or gentle shampoo. Dissolve cleanser in lukewarm water and swirl the bristles gently to wash. Don't squeeze out the water—lay the brush flat on a towel to air dry naturally. Drying upright can cause water to seep into the handle and damage the adhesive.
Perfect Match for Powder Formulas
The soft bristles of squirrel hair work beautifully with powder blushes, highlighters, and setting powders. They pick up pigment effortlessly and distribute it evenly without fallout. For cream or liquid formulas, the bristles may clump, so we recommend using a sponge or synthetic brush instead.
Protect the Bristles with the Included Cover
Store your brush with the protective cover provided to maintain the shape of the bristles. Keep it in a cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Natural hair may release a small amount of color during the first wash—this is normal. Replace your brush when the bristles start to fray or color payoff noticeably weakens.
