After toner, before cream — in the serum step
This is used in the serum step of your skincare routine, right after toner has prepped your skin and before you apply your cream. Formulated with 15% niacinamide and 1% zinc PCA, it targets pores and excess oil, while 8 types of hyaluronic acid deliver a surge of hydration.
Suitable for morning and evening use
In the morning, use it to help control sebum throughout the day. In the evening, let it calm and restore skin after daily exposure. That said, because it contains a high concentration of niacinamide, those with sensitive skin may want to introduce it into their evening routine first.
Roll in with your fingertips for better absorption
Dispense an appropriate amount onto your hands and gently roll it outward from the center of your face. The formula absorbs quickly and finishes fresh, so you can move on to the next step without any sticky residue. For areas where pores are a concern, like the T-zone, feel free to apply a second layer.
Routine pairings by skin concern
- Oily or combination skin: Follow a lightweight water-based toner with this serum, then seal with a light moisturizer to help balance oil and hydration
- Pore and sebum control: Use an exfoliating toner 1–2 times a week, but avoid using it on the same day as this serum
- If dryness is a concern: Layer a richer moisturizer over the serum to lock in hydration
Precautions when using high-concentration actives
If this is your first time using a product like this, patch test on the inside of your arm first. During the initial adjustment period, start slow — every other day or every three days, applying a small amount only to areas of concern. Avoid use immediately after laser treatments or exfoliating products, as irritation may occur. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and if redness or itching develops, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
