A Soothing Essence Routine for Sensitized Skin
This is a water essence designed to be used after toner and before serum or cream. Once you've cleansed and prepped your skin with toner, apply this essence to deliver both hydration and soothing relief in one step. Its lightweight water texture won't interfere with the absorption of products that follow.
Suitable for Morning and Evening Use
Use it in the evening to calm skin stressed by daytime aggressors, or in the morning to lay down a hydrating base before you start your day. On days when temperatures fluctuate or your skin feels hot and irritated, consistent morning and evening use is especially beneficial.
Pat Gently for Better Absorption
Dispense a generous amount onto your palms or a cotton pad and gently pat it all over your face. Snail mucin has a naturally elastic, slightly viscous texture, so patting works better than rubbing for optimal absorption. For areas of redness, saturate a cotton pad and leave it on for 5 minutes as a cooling compress.
Recommended Combinations by Skin Concern
- When skin is red and reactive: Cleanse with a low-pH cleanser from the same line, layer this essence generously, then seal it in with a sleeping mask for amplified soothing benefits
- When dryness meets stinging: Apply the essence in 2–3 layers, then lock in moisture with a hydrating cream
- After shaving or hair removal: Decant into a mist bottle and spritz onto irritated areas throughout the day for quick relief
Storage and Usage Notes
This formula contains no artificial colorants—the soft violet hue comes naturally from azulene. Exposure to direct sunlight may cause the color to fade slightly, but efficacy remains unchanged. Store in a cool place, or keep it refrigerated for an extra cooling, soothing sensation upon application. If redness, spots, or itching occur during use, discontinue and consult a dermatologist.
