Use as the final step in your evening routine
Because this cream contains retinol, it's best applied as the last step in your skincare routine. After prepping your skin with toner and essence, apply the cream while your skin is still slightly damp for better absorption. If you're using a serum, apply this cream right after.
Evening use only, SPF required in the morning
Due to the nature of retinol, we recommend using this cream only in your evening routine. If you do use it in the morning, be sure to follow with a thorough application of sunscreen to protect your skin. While using retinol, your skin may be more sensitive to UV exposure during the day.
Apply a moderate amount and blend gently
Using a spatula or clean fingers, take a pearl-sized amount and gently smooth it over your entire face. For areas where firmness is a concern—like around the eyes, mouth, and smile lines—lightly tap the product in with your fingertips to help absorption. The lightweight, fast-absorbing texture leaves no sticky residue, making it easy to move on to the next step.
Recommended combinations by skin concern
- For both firmness and hydration: Layer ceramide toner → peptide serum → this cream
- For fine lines: Apply after a hyaluronic acid essence to lock in moisture
- For tone-evening benefits: Pair with a niacinamide serum for a synergistic effect
Important reminders when using retinol
If you're new to retinol, start with 2–3 times per week to give your skin time to adjust. While this product has completed a dermatologist test on sensitive skin, some individuals may experience mild sensitivity during the initial adjustment period. Avoid using on the same day as exfoliating products like AHA or BHA, and store in a cool place away from direct sunlight. If redness or stinging persists, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
