From inner corner to nose bridge, for contouring and shading
Use this brush during the contouring stage, after you've finished your base makeup. The rounded, angled cut allows for precise placement along narrow areas like the inner corner of the eye, sides of the nose, and crease — creating natural-looking depth and dimension. For longer-lasting color payoff, apply over an eyeshadow base.
Sweeping downward with the angled edge
Load the tip of the brush with shading powder or contour shadow, then tap once or twice on the back of your hand to control the amount. Gently sweep downward from the inner corner along the side of the nose, then use what's left on the brush to softly wrap around the tip of the nose for a sculpted, dimensional finish. The key is to press the angled edge flush against the skin with a light touch.
Wash with lukewarm water and dry upside down
For synthetic bristle brushes, cleanse about once a week with a gentle cleanser diluted in lukewarm water. Gently swirl the bristles to release buildup, lightly squeeze out excess water, reshape the brush head, and hang upside down to dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area.
Works beautifully with powder shading and contour shadows
- Use shading powder to define the sides of the nose and hairline
- Apply matte contour shadow to deepen the crease
- Lightly pick up highlighter for a brightening touch at the inner corner
This brush is designed for powder formulas. For cream or liquid products, we recommend using a sponge instead.
How to care for your short-handle brush
The wooden handle can warp if soaked for too long, so be careful to keep it dry during cleansing. Store upright in a pouch or brush holder to maintain the shape of the bristles. When bristles start to fray or color payoff weakens, it's time for a replacement.
