Is This K-Beauty Site Trustworthy? Where to Buy Authentic Korean Cosmetics

October 8, 2026

Is this K-Beauty site trustworthy, and are its products authentic?

The honest answer: you can't guess it, you have to check it. No website should ask you to simply take its word for it, and that includes the one I'm telling you about. Before you pay, take ten minutes to check the four points below. That's exactly what I did for this article.

1. Who is selling, and from where?

Start with the legal notice and the "About" page: company name, address, and a way to contact customer service.

One point many people forget: when you buy from the website of a company based outside the EU, your rights as a European consumer don't apply automatically. So find out where the seller ships from and where it is based.

Piyonna is presented as a service launched by Zigzag, a Korean shopping platform owned by Kakao Style Corp.

2. Does the product match the brand's own?

Compare the shop's product page with the brand's official website: exact name, size, ingredient list (INCI), and packaging photo. On Piyonna, you can also find the full ingredient list for every product, just like on Korean beauty websites.

3. Are the reviews credible?

Start by also reading the middle-of-the-road reviews, for example the 3-star ones. Be wary of identical wording from one review to the next, and favour reviews that are dated, detailed and come with photos. On Piyonna, you can read reviews from Korean customers product by product.

4. Are the purchase conditions clear?

Before you pay, check the delivery and return conditions as well as any extra fees.

Customs: since 1 July 2026, a flat duty of €3 per item category applies to small parcels (up to €150) imported from outside the EU. A parcel with one skincare product and one make-up product can therefore cost more than expected: check whether the shop shows these fees at checkout.

Where can you buy authentic K-beauty from a reliable seller?

So, can Piyonna be a reliable option for buying K-Beauty products?

After comparing several criteria, Piyonna offers several interesting features for anyone who wants to buy Korean cosmetics from France. In particular, the site lets you check where products come from, and see their ingredients and reviews directly on the product pages.

Another point to consider is extra fees: displayed prices include VAT, and Piyonna states that it covers the customs duties related to the order. This gives you a better idea of the amount you'll pay at the time of purchase.

Of course, before ordering from any site, I always recommend checking who sells the products, where they come from, any possible fees and the return conditions. These checks help you better assess a site before you order.

And if you're looking for a simple way to discover and buy K-Beauty products from France, Piyonna may be an option worth keeping in your favourites. ✨
