After Base Makeup, During the Cheek Color Step
Apply blush after you've finished your foundation and concealer base. This brush is smaller and more tapered than a standard blush brush, making it ideal for precise color placement on narrow areas like the cheekbones or the apple of the cheeks. You can also use it to add a subtle touch of highlighter.
Use Light, Sweeping Strokes
Pick up powder with the brush, then tap it once on the back of your hand to control the amount. Smile to locate the apple of your cheek, place the brush there, and gently sweep upward toward your temple. The rounded shape ensures seamless, diffused blending with no harsh edges, while the dense squirrel hair bristles hold powder particles beautifully for even, fallout-free color payoff.
Gentle Cleansing Once a Week
Natural hair brushes should be washed once a week with a dedicated brush cleanser or a mild shampoo. Dissolve the cleanser in lukewarm water and gently swirl the bristles to clean. Don't squeeze out the water—lay the brush flat on a towel to air dry naturally. Drying it upright can cause water to seep into the handle and damage the adhesive inside.
Best Used with Powder Formulas
The soft texture of squirrel hair works beautifully with powder blushes and highlighters. Avoid using it with cream or liquid formulas, as they can cause the bristles to clump. For cream blush, we recommend a sponge or synthetic bristle brush instead.
Protect the Bristle Shape with the Included Cover
Store your brush with the protective cover provided to prevent the bristles from getting flattened or splayed. Keep it in a cool place away from direct sunlight or high heat. When bristles start to fray or color payoff weakens, it's time for a replacement.
